The statements of the Azerbaijani leadership that the Armed Forces of Armenia allegedly attempted an attack in the directions of Hadrut and Jabrayil, opened fire at a field ambulance with a raised white flag and distinctive signs while collecting corpses in the area under Azerbaijani control, are unfounded and are aimed to place the responsibility for violation of the humanitarian ceasefire on the Armenian side. The joint statement issued at the level of foreign ministers on October 10 clearly stipulates that the exchange of POWs, other detainees and bodies of the killed between Azerbaijan and Artsakh should be implemented with the mediation of the International Committee of the Red Cross in compliance with the latter’s criteria, which is not happening at the moment due to the ongoing hostilities. We consider the accusations of the Azerbaijani side as trivial provocation and we draw the attention of the interested parties to this fact.
