Chronicle on ceasefire violation in the north-eastern part of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border
Below are presented the events and further developments of July 28 ceasefire violation by the Azerbaijani Armed Forces in the north-eastern part of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border chronogically in Armenian, English, Russian translations.
06 August 2021 , 15:04
On August 6, at 12:10 am, the Azerbaijani Armed Forces fired from various caliber firearms at the Armenian positions in the Yeraskh section of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, as a result, the grass area in the neutral zone caught fire.
The Armenian side is carrying out actions of countering and suppressing the enemy fire.
There are no casualties from the Armenian side.

As of 6 pm, on August 6, the situation in the Yeraskh section of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border has been stabilized after the provocation carried out by the Azerbaijani side this afternoon. The fire in the neutral territory between the positions, which arose after the enemy’s shots, was extinguished.
There are no casualties from the Armenian side.

As of the August 4 night and on 10 am, the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border is relatively stable, no significant violations of the ceasefire regime have been registered.
The units of the RA Armed Forces fully control the border situation.

On August 4, at around 11am, in the Gegharkunik part of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, the enemy UAV was observed in the air space of the Republic of Armenia. In the result of the RA Armed Forces Air Defence subdivisions’ actions, the attempt has been suspended.

On August 2, from 11:20 to 12:00, the Azerbaijani Armed Forces violated the ceasefire on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border in Yeraskh, and from 14:30 in the area of the village of Kut, opening fire in the direction of the Armenian positions from firearms of various calibers.
After the counterattack actions of the RA Armed Forces subdivisions, the enemy’s fire was silenced. There are no casualties from the Armenian side.

On July 31 from 06:10 to 06:50pm, the Azerbaijani Armed Forces units once again did provocate on opening fire with various small arms on Armenian positions of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border located on Yeraskh region.
In particular, a target fire was fired at the logistics (transporting food) vehicle, seriously damaging it. After the retaliatory actions of the Armenian servicemen, the enemy’s fire was silenced. There are no casualties on the Armenian side.
As of 10:00pm, the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border is relatively stable and is under the full control of the Armenian Armed Forces.

On July 31, at 06:30am, the units of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces opened fire on the Armenian positions located in the Yeraskh section of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border and tried to carry out fortification works using engineering equipment.
After the retaliatory actions of the Armenian positions, the adversary was silenced, the fortification works were stopped.
As of 11:00 am, the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border is relatively stable and is under the full control of the Armenian Armed Forces.

On July 29, starting from 23:00, the air defense subdivisions of the RA Armed Forces stopped attempts of UAV to enter the airspace of the RA on the Gegharkunik section of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border.
As of the evening of July 29 and 07:00 July 30, the situation along the entire Armenian-Azerbaijani border is relatively stable and is under the full control of the RA Armed Forces.

As already informed before, on July 29, since 23:00 attempts of UAV to enter RA air space have been recorded in the Gegharkunikian part of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border.
As a result of the actions of the RA AF Anti-aircraft warfare subdivisions, all attempts were suspended. In particular, UAV “Aerostar” was destroyed by 3.5 kilometres north of Vanevan village, Gegharkunik region.

On July 29, at around 3:00 am, in the Gegharkunik section of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, in the direction of Karvachar, the subdivisions of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces, violating the ceasefire agreement reached the day before, again resorted to provocation opening fire from firearms in the direction of the Armenian positions.
After the retaliatory actions of the Armenian side, the fire was stopped.

On July 29, at around 8:40 am, the subdivisions of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces again opened fire on the Armenian positions located in the Gegharkunik section of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border.
A short shooting took place, after the actions of the Armenian servicemen the enemy’s fire was suppressed.
As a result of provocations on July 29, one serviceman of the RA Armed Forces received a gunshot wound.

The enemy, before the planned negotiations in Moscow, launched an offensive military operation on the borders of the Republic of Armenia, from Sotk to Verin Shorzha (Upper Shorzha). Military operations have been carried out; intensive skirmishes are taking place. The enemy is trying to improve its positions, creating favorable conditions for advance. The subdivisions of Armenia’s Armed Forces fulfill the combat tasks set before them, carry out the defense of their own positions, not allowing the enemy to advance. As of 07:30, we have two wounded; the information about the five servicemen is being clarified.

As of 09:20, the Azerbaijani subdivisions which launched an attack in the direction of the Armenian positions, having losses, were thrown back to their starting positions. The firefight still continues. The situation on the rest of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border is stable and under the full control of the RA Armed Forces.

Through the mediation of the RF Peacemaking Forces Command, an agreement was reached on recovering the ceasefire regime on the line of conflict between Armenian and Azerbaijani troops in the north-eastern direction. As for now, the abovementioned agreement is mainly being fulfilled. During the hostilities launched as a result of the Azerbaijani provocation, both sides used firearms and mortars. At that, a mortar fire was opened by the RA Armed Forces subdivisions in response to the use of mortars by the enemy. No change has been recorded in the line of contact. The border situation is under the control of the RA Armed Forces subdivisions.

According to verified information, the exact number of wounded on the Armenian side due to the provocation carried out by the Azerbaijani Armed Forces on July 24 is four. As of 13:00, the situation in the Gegharkunikian part of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border is stable. The ceasefire agreement is mainly being fulfilled. The situation in the other parts of the border is relatively calm.

On night of July 28, senior lieutenant Hayk Hovhannes Gevorgyan, private Koryun Arayik Harutyunyan and private Davit Garnik Kocharyan were killed while resisting the provocation of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces.
